To resist being a victim, one must fight back and stop possible harm. Mindset is the very foundation of fighting back. Your state of thinking must be excercised to automatically protect yourself.
In a situation where in the middle of the night, a thief has found his way into your bedroom and you wake up to find him standing beside you, most people would be terrified. Would you be scared? You should be pissed!
Think about it, you have an intruder who had gotten past your security perimeter. You have someone in your house with the intent to do property or physical harm. You should get up roaring at this intruder. Like a hungry tiger ready to charge its prey. If he nears you, kick, punch, scratch, bite and yell for him to get out. As soon as he gets out, call (911) for help right away.
Exercise your mind like an athlete who prepares for a game. Your response to a situation should be automatic. Practice makes perfect!
WARNING: Be careful not to end up with a hot temper while exercising your mental state of fighting back. Be logical and consider what’s life threatening and what is not. Let’s say for instance when someone cuts you off while driving. Don’t flare up and get irate, because that person might have an emergency or a very good reason for his/her action.
